We have existed as a herbal school since 2011. We started by offering simple herbal nature walks and a study letter course later on, which is the basis for our Year Round Course.
Main author and founder of the Herb Academy is Tara Isadora Áine Mari – through own health issues and also much stress in her life, she connected with the powers of herbs and started to grow her own about 20 years ago. Her bunnies also taught her a lot about edible plants and the differences between herbs. 😉
15 years ago, Tara participated with success in a herb school – she learned all the basics hands on from an experienced herb fairy who not only knew many practical applications but had studies herbs and medicinal plants at University level.
Tara has continued to study the powers of herbs and also plants ever since – We actually think that there are no plants without magic use. The more we get to know them, the more amazing they become to us.
Through much foresting, trial and error of recipes and applications of plants in many areas of her life from hair coloring to cleaning the house, Tara has a thorough and deep understanding of the workings of plants, herbs, and spices. She has also published a little herbal guide.
Oh, we almost forgot. Her main expertise though is that of an e-learning instructional designer and consultant – so you get the best of two worlds united into the Academia Herba courses. 🙂 As a certified trainer and coach, she can craft effective online courses and also offer personal coaching sessions.
